I wrote a letter to Lindsay Lohan

On ohnotheydidnt they posted Lindsay's address at the jail, so I decided for some reason yesterday to write her a letter. It basically said good luck and that she has talent (she actually does) and that I hope she finds the right thing to help her make her life better.

Is that weird? Now that I think about it I'm kind of embarrassed.

I did it on a whim.

Well, I hope she enjoys the good wishes and it helps her pass the time on her 14 days in jail.

Being in jail is horrendously traumatic for anyone.

I don't know much about Lindsay Lohan or what her crime is, but I think she'll appreciate the support.

IDK... I worked in a jail for about 6 months. Detention officer. (Don't ask...long story...I grew up in a weird area.) I still have the uniform!

Anyway, it wasn't THAT bad, and she's not with the general population. I know I wasn't an inmate, but really... People have been through worse things than a few weeks in a county jail.

Lame? Annoying? Not fun? Sure. Traumatizing? County Jail? Meh. I don't really see it as "traumatizing" as compared to her crimes. Drunk driving? Running people over? Yeah, now that's traumatizing. But hey, I don't have sympathy for people who drink and drive. Being HIT by a drunk driver is far more traumatizing than a repeat drunk driver spending a few weeks in county jail, away from general population.

Maybe she'll learn some humility.

That was nice of you. I'm as guilty as anyone when it comes to making fun of celebrities and their fuckups, but going to jail is no doubt frightening, humiliating, and depressing no matter who you are.

But it's hard not to mock her when the only reason she's there is an over-inflated case of entitlement syndrome.

I mean, she fucked up (can't remember if this is the dope possession or the DUI that it all stems from), but all she had to do was stay clean and go to her meetings and keep her nose clean. And she couldn't be bothered to do that.

With any luck, it'll be a wakeup call for her, and she'll get her shit together.

Yes, but she's the way she is because her mother gives her drugs and enables her and protects her from the people that want to make her better. It's really sad that her mother is destroying her daughter in an effort to be "cool."
