Zoe & Lily

So Zoe has decided she likes the house, and especially loves looking out the screen door at the birds. She has lived in a caged kennel type shelter for the last year, so I'm sure she's glad to have freedom and interesting things to look at.

Lily was sulking for a while on top of the stairs:



But she came down finally to be social.





Lily hisses and growls whenever Zoe comes near, but as the day wore on she did that less and less. Zoe is so mellow and submissive that I think Lily will like her soon enough. And Lily gets to go outside and Zoe does not, so Lily can come outside and be in her element and hang out with us while we sat on the patio and had a fire. It's all good. I think they'll be best friends in no time.

poor kitty baby..finally released from kitty prison. she is really beautiful. i dont go to shelter because i cant bring them all home with me.

I know! I feel so bad she was in kitty prison. Mom didn't go to the shelter (I don't think either of us could handle it) - she got Zoe at rescue day at PetCo.

Daw! Cute putters!

Pookey (in icon) didn't like the kittens when she first met them, but now she plays with them. They assimilate after a while. (Sometimes it can take a bit of time though...)

We're hoping Lily sees the light sooner rather than later. Zoe hasn't hissed or growled once. She's seriously the mellowest cat I've ever seen.

Zoe is just beautiful! She knows she's not Queen, so she's being a proper subject and submissive. That's how Beau is around Crystal, the deaf white cat. I think everything will go just fine. There may be a few dust ups, but I doubt anything of note.
