Spider caught a big fly!

My boss called me into his office to show me that his window spider (he's been there for almost a year!) caught a big fly and was busy sucking it dry. I, of course, had to take a picture!



That thing that looks like a tiny mouse in the front of the spider is the fly. Nature is so cool.

That is incredibly cool.

I had a porch spider when I lived in Hamilton. Or rather, several generations of spiders, because they were there for 4 years. Some of the most amazing webs I've ever seen.

Hey you're stoned right now so it's a good time to ask - what did you think about that guy who died because the paramedics refused to go through the snow? Would you have gone through the snow?

You mean the one in Pittsburgh? There's a comment from someone within the Pittsburgh EMS system with a little more information. Seems the EMS crews were all going through snow, and sometimes getting stuck for hours. Several crews tried to get to this guy but couldn't make it, and then they were told to disregard the call so they went on to the next call. None of them were told that this was a return call.

Sounds like a clusterfuck in management and operations, rather than a failing of the EMS crews themselves.
