Famous designer Alexander McQueen commit suicide last night. He was 40. So young and so talented.

He will be missed. He was a true artist.

Most people don't understand the idea of high fashion. The designers make art to go down the runway, like you see above. There are style elements within the art which get used in the ready to wear line. Take the last 3 pictures...what the ready to wear manufacturers will take from that is a trend toward hounds-tooth patterned fabric, 50s inspired jackets and collars, black and white mixed with red. Boldness of patterns.

It's not expected that what you see on a runway anyone but Lady Gaga can pull off in the real world. It's to make art that showcases the trends you will be introducing in the ready to wear line.

I wish more people understood that.
