Chicago, hyenas!

Ok! I am booked and ready to go to CHICAGO! I will be staying June 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th and flying out on the afternoon of the 7th.

I am planning a get together on Saturday June 5th. jblaque, iron_chef_gein and ygrii_blop are already coming. I would hope that nurzrachet could be convinced to come as well. Anyone else in the area, please come! I'd love to meet you! Maybe toohipanna or deliverer or charon52 or nova_42 can make the drive.

And ygrii_blop please e-mail me or reply to my Facebook message because I need to work some details out with you.

I'm so excited! I'm going to go to the Art Institute, have some great food, meet some great friends and experience a new part of the country. I can't wait.

Where exactly in Chicago would this get together be taking place? Because I can look at packages through AARP (being old and dust-covered, you know) and probably get a decent hotel+flight package, arriving Friday pm, staying Sat, and going home Sun sometime.... dammit, I haven't gone anywhere fun in 2 years, I think I'm owed...

Where would you be staying? That would be cool to stay at the same hotel!! Or cheap motel or whatever...

Well, I'm staying at the Travelodge Chicago in downtown (and Chef and Ygrii probably too)- it's one block from the subway/El and near the museums. The address is 65 East Harrison. I can assume that we are gathering somewhere downtown or maybe somewhere jblaque likes, but if it's out of town we can force iron_chef_gein to take us in his car. But I would prefer somewhere downtown near our hotel so we can stmble drunkenly back to our rooms without having to drive.

That would be so awesome if you could come!
