Fire pictures

The first 3 pictures are with my good camera, but then the batteries died and I had to revert to my phone.

Here is what I saw when I first got out there:







Then the fire department arrived:



Then my camera died, so now it's all phone pics:





The incendiary device was embedded in the engine of this old truck in the carport that never moves (yes, it seems to be the arsonist again) and they used the "jaws of life" saw to saw off the hood from the burning car (I'm amazed at the bravery of these firemen) and get in there with the chemical retardant to finally get the flames out (those are the sparks from the saw - I wish my good camera wasn't dead this picture would be so much more awesome):

In this last picture, you can see the charred fence on the left; the roof right above it was engulfed in flames. My bedroom window is the first window on the right. Crazy.

This is insane. Do they have any idea of a suspect yet?

The fireman alluded to a suspect and being close to getting him, but I think he was shining me on. This guy has been setting fires since September 2007 and has set over 35 fires now and still has not been caught. He changes the time of night, changes the targets (mostly cars and trucks), and he moves stealthily. I swear I saw him the night before the laundry room fire casing the place. I gave my very undetailed description to the cop this morning just to make sure they know the height and weight at least.

It's just one guy, they think. Been setting fires for 2+ years now. He's driving me nuts. He has set two very dangerous fires in close proximity to me in 8 months.

We've had a surprising number of fires in my immediate neighborhood since I have lived here. I am pretty sure some of them were arson, probably just feuding druggies though, not a firebug.
