On the corner of Ocean and H in Lompoc just now as I was driving home. The woman's sign says "Lois Capps [ed's note: one of our congresspeople] I DON'T WANT YOUR WELFARE HEALTH CARE" And the guy is holding a "Don't Tread On Me" flag, natch. The guy whose back is turned to the camera and a cute bearded alternative type guy behind the guy with the flag were arguing with them about health care. I caught the bearded guy saying, "Don't you get it??? Everyone deserves health care!" and then the light changed.

Assholes. I'm amazed they didn't have Nazi signs and signs about the death panels. Maybe those people were getting coffee. If I didn't have to drive on, I was going to yell at Mr. Don't Tread On Me and ask him if he lost his job if he would be changing his tune. Alas, the light changed.

FUCKARAMA!!!! those crazy wackjobs are sooooo riiiiiight!

To elaborate on something a mutual lj-friend of ours put up, "I was so fucked up I was on welfare and food stamps for a while, and NO ONE helped ME! Dammit! So why the fuck should want my hard earned tax dollars to go to any of these little shits who were too stupid to save up a half mil or so before they got sick? Fucking lazy dipshits! Let eeeeemmmmmmm rooooollllllllll baaaaby rooooooollllllllllllllllllll their moldy cheapjack wheelchairs right down the toilette, baby!

Meanwhile, I'll take some of that flaming chocolate mousse and another margarita, and laugh, cause I deserved that motherfucking lottery win. I fucking *earned* that winning ticket, and I don't wanna hear no sob stories about the lazy masses. *

*more seriously, I actually like the "don't tread on me", and am deeply disturbed that things like this and Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" are being co-opted by the batshit crazy crowd.

Unfortunately most of the people who really need national health care can't afford to take off work to attend protests and rallies.
