Out of nowhere, apparently, last night, Supreme Court Justice David Souter announced he is retiring in June, for reasons of not liking DC and wanting to get back to nature, blah blah blah.
So, even though it's not quite as delicious as say, Clarence Thomas retiring, at least we're having a moderate being replaced with hopefully a liberal, since Obama is making the appointment and we have the uber majority in the house and senate.
If she wasn't Secretary of State, I would have loved for my girl Hillary to get the nod, but I don't think that's going to happen until near the end of her tenure as Secretary of State, if ever.
So, who do you think Obama might nominate?
