My former co-worker D and her family are up in Solvang for a few days at the Wyndham Time Share Resort, so they invited me over for a family dinner. It was nice to see them all again (they have an 18 year old, a 5 year old and a 1 year old), but the 1 year old was sick and he kept screaming through most of the night, which really made me insane. But it was nice to see them.
So, I had to drive through the San Marcos Pass to get from Santa Barbara to Solvang, and I was taking some pictures for [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] to see the countryside.

Here's the beginning of Lake Cachuma (it's quite large but it's hard to snap a pic while driving anywhere else it was visible as it's only visible for tiny snippets after that):

And here are two pictures of the Santa Ynez Valley. It was gorgeous this afternoon.
