See, I studied music history. Most of what I know of art history came as a side effect of studying music history. (Many of the stylistic periods/changes in both fields came about at roughly the same time, e.g. Renaissance 1400-1600, Baroque 1600-1750, Classical 1750-1825, Romantic 1825-1910. Those are the accepted "periods" for European music history; IIRC, European art history falls roughly into the same timeframes.)
I'm not big on visual art, generally. My most prized piece of visual artwork is a litho of this Canadian classic.
