Going to the fair!

I don't think I've been to a county fair in at least 2 decades. But Mom, Dad and I are going to the Santa Barbara County Fair in Santa Maria on Saturday to see The Beach Boys! It will be an interesting experience to say the least. I'll bring my camera and take all sorts of weird pictures. I'm looking forward to this I want to eat deep fried things that shouldn't be deep fried. And see cows and shit.

Silly man, cows don't make shit logs that could be fried. They make flat discs of basically diarrhea, thanks to their 4-chambered stomachs and highly efficient digestive systems.

Now, I'd worry if the funnel cake stand was next to the cow barn... especially if the funnel cakes are not the standard golden batter color...

Just make sure that if you have a deep friend oreo, that it is FRESH! I had my first at the state fair last year and I was sooooo sick from the oreos that had been sitting too long. Cold grease reaaaaalllly isn't good.

I haven't been to a real 4H type of fair in decades. My sister-in-law's family (the ones who raise llamas and stuff) go to them all the time. Her sister's kids compete with steers and hogs.

i grew up in texas. we raised hogs and steers and showed our horses. did some of the riding competitions....awwww memories...lol
