Mmmmm...experimental cooking

I'm going to make a sort of bastardized shepherd's pie today, with ground beef, Ro-Tel tomatoes, green beans and shredded cheese, with box mashed potatoes and shredded cheese on top. I think that will be tasty, no?

I'll take a picture of it for [livejournal.com profile] trashy_eats.

Now it's baking merrily away!

ETA: It's done! My cooking pan was too small and it bubbled over a lot, but thankfully I foresaw that and put foil down underneath it in the oven to catch the drippings. It was a little too wet, I think from the tomatoes and green beans (I drained them both), but it's really tasty!

Very, depending on what kind of green beans you use. I love canned, I hate, hate, hate the bagged/frozen ones.

You can't bake canned green beans - they'd turn to mush. I have frozen beans that I will be using.

I love green beans so much that I'd eat them any way - fresh, frozen, canned, you name it. I'd eat them while high, I'd eat them baked in a pie. :)

Dilly beans are delicious. Ever had them?

I'd eat them while high,
I'd eat them baked in a pie. :)

Would you eat them with some lox?
Would you eat them in your socks?

Would you eat them in the hall?
Would you eat them off some balls?

Dammit, now you have me channeling my inner Dr. Seuss...

Would you eat them off some balls?

I love you.

That looks delicious.

I use Ro-Tel tomatoes pretty often.

I wonder how well canned green beans would ship to CA... I have shit tons of them from last year's garden, and I don't know if we'll get them all eaten up before the new ones come in...

That would be expensive most likely since they are packed in water. Otherwise I'd say send them over but I know neither of us have a lot of money to spend on shipping green beans. :)
