Speaking of my parents....

As you know, arthur_sc_king now lives about 90 miles from me, and he's all alone in a new country with a family back home in Canada. So I was at my parents' house for dinner last night and they suggested that arthur_sc_king come over for one of the Sunday dinners with Mom & Dad and Grandpa and me. I thought that was a dandy idea. It'll probably be in about a month since my parents are on a cruise for half of November and then the other half is Thanksgiving, but I can't wait to introduce arthur_sc_king to my family. He and my crazy Aspie jazz loving grandfather should get along like he and Mal used to get along...like two peas in a pod.

So, arthur_sc_king, looking forward to it! I hope you're doing well on your motorcycle course today.

I'm not at my motorcycle course. <pout> My fookin' rental car overheated and died halfway up the hill that separates Camarillo from Thousand Oaks. Yes, the rental company sent a new car ... eventually ....

I felt like I should go to where the course was anyhow; while I knew I was late for the morning riding session (which I was scheduled for; morning riding 0645-1200, afternoon class later), there was another group who was classroom morning then riding afternoon, and I thought "If they had any no-shows I might be able to sneak in." Alas, no such luck; the morning classroom bunch were all keeners, present and accounter for. So they'll fit me in next week.

I'm now in the public library here with my laptop, after spending a total of almost 7 hours in my car, including the 2.5 hours it took waiting for the replacement rental car to show up. Fuck. Fuckityfuckityfuckfuckfuck.

So, after venting via some websurfing here, I guess I'll just get that much more studying done today....
