It's only 71 feet wide. The one we have to worry about is due in four more years. Its name is 2003 QQ47. Yup. Mark your calendars, folks. And don't worry about those student loans.

71 feet is larger than the one that hit Tunguska, and that asteroid caused damge that mimicked a nuclear detonation. If today's asteroid hits anywhere populated, it will destroy a wide swath of real estate.

Well, it's 10:28 pm EST, so I guess it didn't hit us, or didn't hit anywhere "important"...

Personally, being hit by Objects From Outer Space is so far beyond my control, I don't even worry about them. What could I do about them? I prefer to just schlepp along merrily, totally oblivious to stuff like that.
