LOL. Mal spent years high on DXM. It's a dissassociative drug that will make you hallucinate. I myself have never done it, but you can buy DXM in pill form (Robotussin pills, on the net there are other brands) but you have to take almost an entire bottle. That way you don't have to drink 3 bottles of cough syrup.
